Audio training with Sound&Pixel at Ditelba: a look back at the day
A look back at Ditelba’s audio training with CANVAS, DALI, Amina and NAD CI: integration, home cinema and multiroom audio.

On Thursday 22 October 2026, we welcomed the Sound&Pixel Planet team to Ditelba in Palma de Mallorca for a day of audio training for installers. Around 40 people joined us across the morning and afternoon sessions, combining an introduction to the products with listening demonstrations.
The programme covered different ways of bringing sound into a home: CANVAS alongside the television, DALI in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, Amina invisible speakers, NAD CI amplification, and networked audio with Bluesound and BluOS. These are familiar considerations for installers, whose projects need to balance sound, available space and the finished appearance of an installation.
DALI speakers: from the catalogue to the installation
Part of the training focused on DALI’s range and its applications in residential projects, from discreet built-in audio to home cinema systems.
The DALI PHANTOM range is designed for installation in walls and ceilings. It suits projects that call for discreet speakers without cabinets on the floor or furniture. For the installer, this means planning mounting openings, wiring and speaker positions from the outset.
Attendees could also examine the speakers first-hand to get a better understanding of their construction and mounting requirements.

Amina invisible speakers and DALI recessed speakers: the difference
There was also time for Amina invisible speakers, another brand distributed by Sound&Pixel. These differ from conventional recessed speakers: a recessed speaker leaves a grille visible, whereas an invisible speaker sits beneath the wall or ceiling finish, subject to the installation requirements of each model.
That difference matters in renovation and interior design projects. A hidden system requires coordination with building work and finishing trades. Amina and DALI offer different approaches to integration; understanding both helps installers choose a suitable option for each space.
CANVAS: sound and television in the living room
The CANVAS demonstration explored a different approach to living-room audio: combining sound and television in a single system, with an emphasis on both listening and integration into the home.
CANVAS combines music playback and television sound, with HDMI eARC connectivity and streaming options. Hearing it in operation complemented the introduction to its features.

Home cinema with DALI: speakers and subwoofers
Home cinema with DALI speakers and subwoofers was another topic covered during the day. A cinema system needs to work as a whole: dialogue, effects and bass must fit together. The subwoofer handles low frequencies, but its performance also depends on acoustics, placement and adjustment alongside the other speakers, as explained in DALI’s guide to subwoofers.
NAD CI: amplification for custom installations
We also covered NAD CI, the NAD range aimed at custom installation. Alongside speaker selection, these projects need amplification and music sources suited to the number of zones and how the client will use them.
NAD Custom Install includes multichannel amplifiers and network music players, with BluOS available on selected models. This connects with the multiroom side of the training: planning amplification, playback and control as parts of the same installation.
Bluesound and BluOS: networked and multiroom audio
Bluesound and BluOS completed the programme with networked and multiroom audio. Alongside the speakers and physical installation, music playback and control are part of the system the client will use every day. For other settings, such as shops and commercial premises, our commercial audio guide also covers sound coverage and zoning.
Thank you to the Sound&Pixel Planet team for sharing their expertise, and to everyone who made time to attend. See you at the next Ditelba training sessions.
